Getting around
El Cuyo is a small fishing village. It is not very known so stays away from mass tourism and still preserves its charm. The local people are very friendly, always willing to help foreigner. The town has little infrastructure, some small shops, three restaurants ... basically all needs to enjoy a few days relaxing. No traffic, no noise ... just calm.
Miles of virgin beach (25 miles) , perfect for sea sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, or sailing. The beach is very friendly and safety, ideal for kids. Small waves and no tides. El Cuyo is located in a natural reserve area “Ria Lagartos”, so it is also a heaven for nature lovers, bird watching, dolphins, sea turtles and other wildlife.
“Casa de las Tortugas “ “Turtle house” is named because every year they have the visit of a sea turtle who came and lay its eggs. This year the nest is the number 391. In August baby turtles will born and once again we will be witnesses of the miracle of seeing them reach the sea.
